Scholarships available: Not at this time. As a nonprofit organization,
we try to keep tuition and other fees as low as possible.
Accreditation: Lead teacher is Montessori certified.
Application deadline: Applications are accepted any time, application process begins January/February for the upcoming school year.
Application fee: $60 annual nonrefundable registration fee, $110
annual supply fee and one month tuition as security deposit
School starts: First day is August 18, 2008 and last day is June 12, 2009
School runs: Morning session: 8:15 a.m – 11:45 a.m.
Class size: 21 children per class
Student:teacher ratio: 11:1 or less.
Boy/girl quota: No, we do try to balance classes (by age).
How toilet-trained do children need
to be? Children need to be fully toilet-trained prior to beginning school.
Parental participation required:
Yes, we ask parents to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per semester. Parents are also responsible for providing a nutritious snack for the children at least once a month.
Special features: We have a large outdoor space with a playground, sandbox and garden. We are conveniently located one mile off of 15-501, between Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Pittsboro.
